Background
AsyncAPI contributors increasingly hold significant leadership roles — Design, Code of Conduct Committee members, etc and apply for international fellowships, academic programs, and professional opportunities that require formal organizational documentation.
We have an official logo and email, but no standardized letterhead, digital stamp, or verification process to support these requests professionally.
Problem
Without a formal credentials package, contributors lack a consistent, maintainer-approved way to present their roles externally. This leads to:
- Inconsistent representation of the AsyncAPI brand on reference letters
- No controlled process for maintainer sign-off on contributor documentation
- Contributors potentially missing career opportunities due to missing institutional assets
Why This Is Needed
A standardized package will:
- Give contributors a professional, brand-consistent way to document their roles
- Protect how the AsyncAPI logo and name appear on official documents
- Create a reusable process for future verification requests
