Monitor application-level energy consumption

Hello, recently I tried another energy measurement tool called JoularCore. Especially, one very convenient feature in JoularCore is the monitoring of energy consumption at an application-level, where an application may have multiple processes, e.g. the Chrome browser.

Could you help implement this feature or something similar in ALUMET? I have no idea how difficult it is.

This feature could be enabled by some command-line options maybe.

As far as I understood, JoularCore is a bit controversial due to its vibe-coded foundation, but anyway. How did you use it to monitor Chrome?

Alumet provides this feature in the form of the energy-attribution plugin, which gives per-process or per-cgroup energy values.

I do not monitor Chrome myself for any purpose, just mention it as a "multi-process" example.

By the way, where can I find the detailed documentation for a plugin?
