Ukraine is a country located in Europe bordering Russia. Ukraine gained independence in 1918. Currently
Ukraine
and Russia are having a war (History.com Editors, 2009). It is happening in both Ukraine and Russia. Most
Ukrainian people are affected by the war because Russia has more power and geographical space.

<h1 id="Causes">Causes of Displacement</h1>
<div>
People are leaving because of the war, bombings and violence in Ukraine. As previously stated war, bombings,
violence, lack of healthcare, bad economy are reasons pushing people from leaving. Most previous push factors
are tied to the war. One of the major events was when Russia invaded Ukraine igniting the war on February 24,
2022 (Walker, 2025).

<h1 id="Impacts">Impacts of Displacement</h1>
<div style="display: flex;">
<div style="background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);">
Displacement can affect someone's identity not only how they feel and their connection with your home
country
but in a legal sense. A displaced person’s passport might become invalid etc.. You feel less safe as you are
a
vulnerable person to war and persecution. Their culture might be lost in time or forgotten. Healthcare is
also
hard to get a hold of, if they can get sick on the journey without help. An example could be that you had
cancer
but there was a war so you had to travel to another place to get treatment (Landis, 2025).

<h1 id="Perspectives">Perspectives</h1>
<div>
Aid organizations take responsibility for a lot of tasks such as refugee camps even though they are mostly NGOs
with a budget. They are trying their best to help refugees that need it. In the perspective of displaced people
most of them go through trauma and bad experiences. They also want the war to stop, everybody does.

<h1 id="Responses">Responses & Solutions</h1>

Some governments are helping some are not, some are the opposite. For example: the civil war in Sudan between
the rebels and the government, in this case the government is part of the conflict (Center for Preventive
Action, 2025). Other governments can take action to help refugees from other countries. NGOs are also limited by
their budget and the amount of money and support they have.

<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
<h1 id="Reflect">Reflect</h1>
<div>
They should be able to learn about the war and become at least more informed and to do something about it. Once
they are informed they are also more likely to contribute and donate to the cause.
