In reality, besides nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, attention is also paid to other elements required by plants. One important element is sulfur, which improves nitrogen utilization in plants because it occurs in plant proteins within third- and fourth-order structures as disulfide bridges. In agricultural practice, sulfur is especially important for winter crops during the start of vegetation growth, when their demand for both sulfur and nitrogen is at its highest.
Another important element that could appear, although naturally in smaller amounts, is magnesium, which is the main component of chlorophyll involved in photosynthesis. In agriculture, magnesium is included in some fertilizers as an additive, and also in magnesium lime, which helps improve magnesium levels in the soil while also raising soil pH.
There are also many micronutrients such as iron, manganese, copper, boron, and molybdenum, which are supplied to plants through foliar fertilization in the form of liquid fertilizers. Of course, the doses of these fertilizers are very small, but they are still important.
I suspect this could be quite difficult to implement, but I think it could increase realism even further, since these nutrients are also essential for plants. I’m sharing this idea because I think it’s interesting and could add even more variety to an already very advanced mod.
