Calendaring is a useful way to support executive function. Clutter and too much stimuli are an effective way to trash executive function. Users who use calendaring may wish to reduce the number of days visible in the calendar view to benefit from not being flooded with clutter while still getting a peek over the metaphorical horizon.

I would like (and likely nearly everyone who uses it) to have the possibility to narrow the view to a single day or a week, or (bonus points) an arbitrary (and user-set) number of days.
