What is `nasgec.exam.para`, `nasgec.media.para` and `nasgec.thesis.para` in NaSGEC/v3-EMNLP24/nasgec_v3?

Dear authors,

I notice that If you need to obtain NaSGEC-Media and NaSGEC-Thesis, you need to sign the data sharing agreement and sent it to Zhenghua Li in Readme.md. However, in v3-EMNLP24/nasgec_v3, there are nasgec.exam.para, nasgec.media.para and nasgec.thesis.para. Are these files the proposed NaSGEC (MEDIA), NaSGEC (THESIS), NaSGEC (EXAM) in the paper? The answer seems to be NO due to the wrong count of samples in these files. But the names of these 3 files are really confused.

Hi, thanks for reaching out and pointing this out.

As indicated by the file path, the data located in NaSGEC/v3-EMNLP24 represents the third version (v3) of the NaSGEC dataset. The sample counts in this version differ from the original NaSGEC paper because v3 has undergone specific data cleaning, including the removal of samples that overlapped with the FCGEC training set and some further refinement.

For detailed information regarding these changes, please refer to the README of v3.

If you are looking for the original data used in the NaSGEC paper (ACL 2023), please refer to the v1-ACL23 directory. We have also uploaded the previously missing MEDIA and THESIS subsets to that folder, so you can access them there now.
