GigaPDF is built and maintained by QR Communication SAS in Paris. We want the open source community to thrive, but we also need to prevent confusion: a user finding "GigaPDF Pro" online should know whether it's the official project or an unrelated fork.
The strict rebranding rule for modified forks is the same approach used by Mozilla (Firefox), the Linux Foundation (Kubernetes), and many other open source projects.
