Connect to drone failed. Host is down(112).

Hello all,

I'm getting the following error while trying to connect to the drone.

pand[5150]: Connecting to E0:14:9E:F9:3D:29
pand[5150]: Connect to E0:14:9E:F9:3D:29 failed. Host is down(112)
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
bnep0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
bnep0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
> Drone: ERROR: Bluetooth connection could was not established

I am running this on Ubuntu 14.04 OS. It may be worth noting that the mac address specified on the drone is different from the mac address detected by bluetooth (when I look for available devices via bluetooth settings).

Did you try resetting the MAC address with the DroneSetMACaddress.sh script to ensure it is trying to connect to the right address? (step 3 on slide 13 of the Getting Started PDF)

Yep. Tried that for both MAC addresses

Could you think of anything else that may be wrong? I also thought my drivers may not be sufficient, but I can connect to other devices just fine. Maybe something having to do with Bluetooth 4.0?

I remember for the lectures we suggested using a specific Bluetooth adapter since oftentimes the on-board laptop device didn't work (ble issues if I recall correctly).
If you haven't done so, It might also be worth trying the new simulink support package that developed this version further https://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/parrot-minidrones.html

I'm currently using the Broadcom Corp. BCM20702A0 Bluetooth 4.0 usb adapter. Not sure if this adapter supports BLE. I will look into that next.
