What this is
A community-maintained, structured table of peer-reviewed work relevant to Open-LIFU and adjacent focused-ultrasound research, covering 2023–2025. Saved on the wiki under "Research Library." First cut is 25–40 papers; ongoing maintenance after that.
Why this matters
New researchers constantly ask, "What's been published?" Without an authoritative table, every conversation starts from scratch. Having one saves the team hours per week and gives prospective contributors a credible map of the field. This is also the best way to learn the literature in depth, so it's a good entry point for grad students or researchers new to FUS.
What to do
- Comment to claim.
- Compile a markdown table with these columns: Citation (APA or similar), Indication, Key dose/parameter details, Primary outcome, Sample size, Open-access link (where available).
- Start with the partner-institution publications: the April 2025 Frontiers in Psychiatry paper on Open-LIFU depression treatment from the University of Arizona, the stroke detection papers from Brown and UPenn, the MIT Lincoln Lab consciousness research.
- Expand outward: search Google Scholar, PubMed, and bioRxiv for related work over the 2023–2025 window.
- Add a brief introduction explaining the table's scope and how to contribute additions.
- Submit as a PR to the wiki under "Research Library."
