Request Description
A "code first" process allows source code to be developed in tandem with the specification definition. This issue tracks a code first process within the Patina project for working with UEFI Forum managed specifications. Most notably, the ACPI Specification, Platform Initialization (PI) Specification, and UEFI Specification.
In the case of the UEFI Forum, this process lets changes and development of new features happen in open source, without violating the UEFI Forum bylaws which otherwise prevent publication of code for in-draft features/changes as they are under UEFI NDA.
This will be a relatively lightweight process that works alongside Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) tracked in the UEFI Forum Mantis database.
The actual process will be defined in a Patina RFC.
