To add:
- Add sorting to all table headers for better UX.
- Add 'sort order' to collections tables to allow sorting of units into user friendly order
See details of sort order below for reference:
"When we created the JtD units originally, a key feature we (LS Birds) built into each unit was a ‘sort order’ number(). This number corresponds with the standard classification we follow and allows the JtD units to be sorted taxonomically into Order/Family order which is extremely useful. This ‘sort order’ number was viewable in the old ‘spreadsheet’ version of JtD (see below), but I don’t see it in the new App. Could this ‘column’ be added to the App list view (image above) – or can we achieve sorting into taxonomic order in another way?
The current ‘alphabetical’ order is also useful, so another option might be the ability to flip between sorting by ‘taxonomic order’ and ‘alphabetical order’.
() Most of LS Birds units are taxonomic units (i.e. they reflect a bird Family or Order). You’ll see there are a few units with no ‘sort order’ number which reflects that they are not taxonomic units, but rather distinct collection-kind units (e.g. ‘Wandsworth mounts’ or ‘Large skins’, etc). These should remain grouped together, outside of any ‘sort order’ filter."
