The Public Utility Data Liberation (PUDL) project recently announced that they were able to process quarterly FERC reports that contain among other things, the amounts and price of electricity sold and under what sorts of agreements. This could be a way to remove even more plants from the residual grid mix (i.e., natural gas plant Y selling to company X via power purchase agreement).
