Manual inspection of the bounds suggest that they are the same as the source air_temperature, which plots without a seam, except the bounds dimension is called bounds2. This is repeatable with cf-plot 3.4.0 outside of xconv2. It doesn't look like a metadata bug, so for the moment we'll label this as a bug for cf-plot 3.5+.
