very excited for this tool since it will make virtualization of the data a lot more consistent!
I am still very fresh to the repo, but I gathered that the output will always have a chunksize >=~4MB, and the default will be ~4MB which i think is a really desirable chunksize for a variety of applications!
I think it would be extremely valuable to explicitly state that users should leave the default as is for CMIP7 data. Maybe we can add some instructions to this repo (happy to make a PR) and also communicate this via the official comms channels?
cc @jhamman just double checking that 4MB seems like a good choice here (I remember we talked about this a while ago and this seems in the range of your recommendation?)
