Missing: Installation steps - No apps available to connect

What I have done

• installed via homebrew: brew install --cask runtimeviewer
• run the app
• installed the helper
  • RuntimeViewer: Settings - Helper - install
  • macOS: Settings: Background Items (App-Hintergrundaktivitäten) - Runtime Viwer - enabled
  • green checkmark is visible in settings

Restarted Runtime Viewer

• the App is "empty"
• no objects to connect
• I don't get the "connect to" - screenshot

Question?

Did I need to install something? Did I miss an installation step?
