All dependencies are being updated as part of the next release, the iOS PiP is very fragile and I need to do the update carefully and test how it affects all platforms. This latest update needed to go out because there was an issue with audio distortion on iOS that needed to be handled first before I did the dependecies update, which would take longer and leave iOS users without a functioning app. media_kit is the library through which mpv is available for flutter apps. |

Hello—thanks for the response. Many of us are eagerly awaiting the new version. Is it possible to add support for Seer to the roadmap for the new release—specifically, support that doesn't require installing the plugin (Moonfin)? The reason is that installing it visually breaks a lot of great features; for instance, I use Jellyfin Enhanced, and enabling the plugin causes me to lose access to many of its functions. |

My doubts have been resolved—thanks for the explanation. It turns out that when you search for "media_kit" on Google, GitHub comes up, where you can see the version I mentioned earlier. It actually struck me as odd to see such an old version. As it turns out, though, it actually is up to date. And yes, of course: if it works well, leave it alone! |

Hello! I'm not a developer , just an enthusiast—and I'm excited to try out this product (thanks, dev!).
I do have a question, though: I notice that MPV relies on
libmpvviamedia_kit. I also see that the latest release—media_kit_video-v1.2.3—dates back to October 19, 2023. Is this safe, given how old it is? Wouldn't using a more recent version offer better performance and help avoid potential security issues?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
