GameDig allows monitoring of any game servers (300+ games and services). Normally, these game servers provide to admin and developers interface to query the state of the servers, such as the number of players, ping, etc. So, for example, if I want to monitor my Minecraft server, there is a port dedicated to that (called query port).
You can have a first impression using Uptime-kuma's demo. In the background, this uses node-gamedig (documentation here).
