[Question]: Is there an exclude directory / file from VPK Sync?

Im using VPK Sync, and i had a question, is there anyway to exclude some files or folders from it? Beacuse i have for each of my server custom gameinfo.gi and custom configs in /cfg/ and with each update, it get overwriten.

So, i saw that you have an automatic exclude when the update happends, in the VPK sync, but it still overwrites to the basic configs. So i may have anything on the server or in the mount (/srv/cs2-shared), but it will still get overwriten to the original one. I think its not a problem in the automatic script, but when a update happends, the SteamCMD validates the files, and overwrites it to the basic ones.

This is with:

gameinfo.gi
/cfg/
And some other folders i believe, but i dont need them.

So is there anyway to fix it?

Hello,

There is an inherent file exclusion mechanism within the egg. The presence of SteamCMD running indicates that the centralized script was unable to manage your servers. When the centralized script is responsible for managing your servers, SteamCMD is completely removed from the servers internally.

To verify the functionality of the central script, please restart a server and send the first 10-20 lines of output. This will allow me to validate its operation.

On the other hand, you may encounter performance issues with the main script if you are running a large number of servers. This issue has been documented in another open issue (#51), where you can see that we have a test version, but it is currently untested.
