plutus-core currently depends on 0.1.1.1 of this package from Hackage. Newer versions to not work and this version does not compile with ghc-9.8. This patched version is the 0.1.1.1 tag plus some very minor code readability changes (CPP stuff) and bumped dependencies so it compiles with ghc-9.8.
