The ESACCI data for the recipe "recipe_ref_scatterplot.yml" should be replaced with the newly downloaded and formatted dataset CLARA-AVHRR. This needs to be done to extend the available data period to 2020 (the year 2021 is not available on the Copernicus Climate Data Store yet - after discussions with @axel-lauer, @rswamina and @hb326 it was decided that the length of the dataset until 2020 is sufficient for use in the REF - for now).

Only the files for the variables clt, clwvi and clivi in resultion mon are necessary for the REF!
