On macOS, Ctrl+Left Click = Right Click and it's hard-coded into the OS and there's no option to disable it. I personally play with mouse binds RMB=Break LMB=Place so when I place Train Tracks and I want the curves to be smooth I have to press Ctrl+Left Click but the instead of placing the tracks it breaks the block in front of me. In theory there is a fix but it requires me to change my keybind for sprinting which is not good. I recommend that You make curve smoothing a separate key bind.
