Cannot use excel tables (formatted, with design) defined on worksheet for templating

are only named datasets supported or should the usual tables defined on a worksheet work?
using tables would be cool - adds styling (odd/even row, header, filtering...)

yes, i have both Children and ChildrenTest List object to use...

My workaround is simple:

• make the excel table template have 2 data rows
• name the table
• then create a named region for the 2 data-rows, but extend it one column to the right...
