Feature Request: Virtual MIDI Output Device Support for macOS

Thank you for such a great work!

Sorry if this is unrelated to the project, but I’d like to request a feature for a system-wide virtual MIDI output device or a virtual MIDI synth app that registers as a MIDI output for other programs on macOS. While cross-platform support would be great, there are very few virtual MIDI SF2 (SoundFont) drivers or synths for macOS, and existing options like dls-midi-synth seem abandoned. On Windows, tools like OmniMIDI and VirtualMIDISynth work well, but macOS currently lacks a similar solution.

There is already a project like this being worked on here. We currently have no plans to make one part of the project itself at the moment, but it may be something we do in the future

Given OmniMIDIv2 is now archived, is this worth adding to the scope of this project?
